Paver Patios Built For Real Life — And Real Missouri Winters.

The pavers you see are the smallest part of a good patio. What keeps a paver patio flat, tight, and weed-free is everything underneath — sub-grade prep, geotextile separation, four-to-six inches of properly compacted aggregate base, screeded bedding sand, the right joint width, edge restraint that's actually staked into the ground, and polymeric sand that locks the joints. Skip any of those and you get the patio everyone knows — dipped corners, popped joints, weeds in the cracks, and a wobble where the table sits.

Missouri winters are also rough on patios. Freeze-thaw cycles push water that's seeped into joints back up against pavers and edge restraint. A properly compacted base, correct pitch (about an eighth of an inch per foot away from the house), and polymeric sand joints prevent the seasonal damage that takes cheap patios apart by year three. That's the build standard we use on every paver project — not as an upgrade, but as the only way we install.
