Paver Patios Built For Real Life — And Real Missouri Winters.
Premium pavers, an engineered base, polymeric sand, and clean level finishes. Patios that hold their shape through every freeze-thaw cycle.
Custom Paver Patios & Walkways Designed Around Your Backyard
A backyard paver patio should feel like an extension of your home — a place you actually use, not a project that becomes a problem two summers later. We design and install custom paver patios, walkways, fire pit areas, and seat-wall combinations in Wentzville and across St. Charles County, all with proper excavation, compacted aggregate base, edge restraint, and polymeric joint sand. Whether you're picturing a quiet 12x14 sitting space or a full outdoor living build with grill station and string lights, we'll help you scope the patio right — and build it so it still looks new in ten years.
- On-site layout staking with final design approval
- Excavation to proper depth (typically 7–9 inches for patios)
- Geotextile fabric over sub-grade
- Compacted aggregate base installed in 2–3 inch lifts
- Screeded bedding sand and laid pavers in your chosen pattern
- Edge restraint properly staked along the entire perimeter
- Polymeric sand joints, locked in and washed down
- Optional add-ons: fire pit, seat walls, steps, integrated lighting
Why Paver Patio Construction Quality Matters More Than The Pavers
The pavers you see are the smallest part of a good patio. What keeps a paver patio flat, tight, and weed-free is everything underneath — sub-grade prep, geotextile separation, four-to-six inches of properly compacted aggregate base, screeded bedding sand, the right joint width, edge restraint that's actually staked into the ground, and polymeric sand that locks the joints. Skip any of those and you get the patio everyone knows — dipped corners, popped joints, weeds in the cracks, and a wobble where the table sits.
Missouri winters are also rough on patios. Freeze-thaw cycles push water that's seeped into joints back up against pavers and edge restraint. A properly compacted base, correct pitch (about an eighth of an inch per foot away from the house), and polymeric sand joints prevent the seasonal damage that takes cheap patios apart by year three. That's the build standard we use on every paver project — not as an upgrade, but as the only way we install.

Why Homeowners Choose Mow Bros For Paver Patio Installation
We're a small, owner-run crew that takes hardscape work seriously. You'll talk directly to the person designing and overseeing your patio, get a written scope with itemized pricing, and see the same crew on-site every day until the build is done. We source pavers from regional manufacturers like Belgard, Pavestone, and Unilock so you have real style and color choices — and we'll talk through tradeoffs honestly.
Most projects start with an on-site design visit, where we lay out the patio with marking paint or string so you can see the actual footprint before committing. Reach out via the quote form or contact page to start the conversation.
